WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In addition to outlining contours, lines can also be used to render chiaroscuro (light and shadow) values in a drawing. This can be achieved through hatching.
What is hatching?
It is one of the basic drawing techniques that is not based on a random drawing of strokes, but in a precise operation that consists of parallel strokes to each other, which then intersect, in different directions, in a regular manner.
Themes addressed:
The line: first exercises with the various types of pen - Various exercises will be carried out for the correct execution of the technique and correct use of the tools to achieve it.
Drawing modes: parallel hatching / cross-hatching / modelled / graduated / decorative. Grayscale colour ratio exercises. Basic chiaroscuro exercises.
